Billing Rep I

About the role

The Billing Rep I performs all functions necessary to obtain timely reimbursement or resolve claim issues. The position works toward meeting productivity and quality audit standards and must operate as a team player within the department and demonstrate and adhere to Baptist Health's beliefs, mission, and values.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions necessary to obtain timely reimbursement or resolve claim issues.
• Work toward meeting productivity and quality audit standards.
• Operate as a team player within the department.
• Demonstrate and adhere to Baptist Health's beliefs, mission, and values.
• Handle billing and collections for a medical practice or physician including ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.

Skills

• Ability to read and understand billing policies.
• Ability to obtain information from a variety of resources.
• Ability to use a computer and various software.
• Ability to navigate websites to accomplish set goals.
• Ability to work with a positive attitude with patients, families, coworkers, leadership, payors, and other internal and external customers.

Schedule

Shift: Day. Working Hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Authorized 80.00 hours bi‑weekly (equivalent to 40 hours per week).
