Billing Rep

Department: Clinic-PB Patient Financial Services
Shift: Day
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday
Authorized hours: 80.00 bi-weekly

About the Role

This is a first-level position for a Billing Representative. The representative performs all functions necessary to obtain timely reimbursement or resolve claim issues. The position works toward meeting productivity and quality audit standards and must operate as a team player within the department while demonstrating and adhering to Baptist Health's beliefs, mission, and values.

Responsibilities

• Perform billing and collections for a medical practice or physician, including ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Read and understand billing policies and obtain information from a variety of resources.
• Use a computer and various software, and navigate websites to accomplish set goals.
• Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with patients, families, coworkers, leadership, payors, and other internal and external customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
