Serves as the primary point of contact for customers and non-customers, providing outstanding customer service throughout the interaction. Performs a variety of customer transactions, provides information, resolves issues, and identifies opportunities to strengthen customer relationships through cross-selling bank products and services.

About the role

To support employee engagement and retention within the Customer Service department, employees must remain in their current role/branch for at least 6 months before applying for another position, with potential exceptions discussed with a Customer Service Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Accept and accurately process all financial transactions.
  • Maintain responsibility for cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures.
  • Work on semi-routine assignments, recognizing deviations from accepted practices.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns.
  • Cross-sell bank services and refer customers to other departments to meet management goals.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of products, fees, and policies; stay current on offerings to make product suggestions.
  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations applicable to the role.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Complete compliance training and follow internal processes and controls.
  • Report all compliance issues or violations of law/regulations as defined in bank policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish (required).
  • High school diploma.
  • Cash handling experience (preferred).
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Previous sales and customer service experience (preferred).
  • Effective communicator, promoting the bank’s customer service philosophy.
  • Basic math skills and proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

Working Environment

  • Indoor work; not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods.
  • Some sedentary work; occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours), Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
