Bilingual Teller (Part-Time)

Serves as the primary point of contact for customers and non-customers, providing outstanding customer service. Performs a variety of daily transactions, resolves issues, and identifies opportunities to strengthen customer relationships by suggesting additional bank products and services.

Responsibilities

• Accept and accurately process all financial transactions.
• Maintain responsibility for cash drawer and follow proper balancing procedures.
• Work on semi-routine assignments, recognizing deviations from accepted practices.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns.
• Cross-sell bank services and refer customers to other departments to meet management goals.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of products, fees, and policies; stay current on offerings to make relevant suggestions.
• Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations applicable to the role.
• Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations.
• Complete compliance training and follow internal processes and controls.
• Report all compliance issues or violations of law according to bank policies.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

To support employee engagement and retention, employees must remain in this role for at least 6 months before applying for another position, unless an exception is discussed with a Customer Service Officer.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• High school diploma.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Previous sales and customer service experience preferred.
• Effective communicator aligned with Union Bank’s customer service philosophy.
• Basic math skills and proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

Schedule

• Coddington: Part-Time (20 Hours), Monday – Friday 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (with 1 day off during the week), Every Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
• East O: Part-Time (20 Hours), Monday – Friday 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (with 1 day off during the week), Every Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
• Fallbrook: Part-Time (20 Hours), Monday - Friday 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Working Environment

• Indoor work – not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods.
• Some sedentary work with occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
