Rural Medical Services is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Service Representative to join their Chestnut Hill team. Purpose
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll create a welcoming experience by scheduling appointments, answering questions, assisting providers, and delivering outstanding customer service while supporting the daily operations of our medical office.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and serve as the receptionist in accordance with appointment and patient record policies.
- Schedule appointments and accurately answer and route telephone calls.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with established medical records policies.
- Process patient payments and perform other clerical duties, including billing, filing, typing, and data entry.
- Absorb and assist patients with completing required forms and documentation.
- Provide interpretation services for patients after successfully completing the organization's interpreter certification process.

- EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school graduate or vocational high school graduate or high school equivalency.
- LICENSURES REQUIRED: None

- ABILITY TO LEARN: Quickly learn office procedures, policies, and workflows.
- ABILITY TO FOLLOW: Follow written and verbal instructions.
- ABILITY TO PERFORM: Perform basic mathematical calculations and maintain accurate financial records.
- EXCELLENT VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS: With patients, coworkers, and management.
- STRONG PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.
- FLUENCY IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH: Required.
- BASIC COMPUTER PROFICIENCY: And the ability to learn new software applications.
- STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: And the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
