About the role

The Human Resources Generalist at Inovar Packaging Group supports day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, benefits support, HRIS administration, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily HR support to employees and managers by answering questions, interpreting policies, and escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, pre-employment requirements, and new hire communication.
  • Cook up and facilitate onboarding activities to ensure new employees receive a consistent, welcoming, and compliant introduction to the organization.
  • Aid managers with employee relations matters, including coaching conversations, documentation, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and personnel files in accordance with company policy and applicable legal requirements.
  • Support benefits administration, leave of absence coordination, payroll-related changes, employee status changes, and other HR transactions.
  • Partner with managers to support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, development planning, and follow-up documentation.
  • Aid in training initiatives, compliance programs, employee engagement activities, and communication campaigns.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and recommend updates to HR policies, processes, and practices as needed.
  • Prepare HR reports, track key metrics, and use data to identify trends, support decision-making, and recommend process improvements.
  • Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen employee experience, operational efficiency, and leadership capability.
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to support the employee lifecycle by maintaining accurate employee and recruiting data, managing personnel transactions, administering the applicant tracking system (ATS), generating reports, and ensuring data integrity and compliance across HR processes.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in a generalist, employee relations, manufacturing, distribution, or multi-site environment.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and related state and local requirements.
  • Experience using HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and HR reporting tools.
  • Preferred ADP Workforce Now.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification as part of professional development.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus, depending on workforce needs.
