Core Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related questions.
- Own day-to-day employee relations activities, including issue intake, documentation, investigations, corrective action, and follow-up, escalating high-risk matters as appropriate.
- Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and employment status updates.
- Ensure accurate, timely maintenance of employee records and documentation within the HRIS, partnering with HRIS or payroll teams as needed.
- Support time and attendance issues, leave administration, and coordination with benefits or disability vendors.
- Ensure site-level compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, safety requirements, and training obligations.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Support
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR Managers to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently and consistently.
- Partner with hiring managers to support a positive and compliant hiring and onboarding experience.
Employee Experience, Engagement & Culture
- Champion site engagement and culture initiatives, including talent & development programing, recognition efforts, and engagement survey participation and follow-up.
- Support local delivery of HR programs and initiatives led by HRBPs (e.g., performance management cycles, change initiatives).
- Serve as a visible HR presence at the site, building trust and strong working relationships with employees at all levels.
Partnership & Collaboration
- Partner closely with HR Managers and HRBPs to ensure “one HR voice,” sharing insights, trends, and emerging risks from the site.
- Provide data, insights, and on-the-ground feedback to HRBPs to inform talent reviews, workforce planning, and business-unit initiatives.
- Run and analyze standard and ad hoc HRIS reports to support HR leadership and decision-making.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a site-based or field HR role.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong employee relations and issue-resolution skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a matrixed HR team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HRIS experience required (Workday preferred).
