Core Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related questions.
  • Own day-to-day employee relations activities, including issue intake, documentation, investigations, corrective action, and follow-up, escalating high-risk matters as appropriate.
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and employment status updates.
  • Ensure accurate, timely maintenance of employee records and documentation within the HRIS, partnering with HRIS or payroll teams as needed.
  • Support time and attendance issues, leave administration, and coordination with benefits or disability vendors.
  • Ensure site-level compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, safety requirements, and training obligations.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Support

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR Managers to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently and consistently.
  • Partner with hiring managers to support a positive and compliant hiring and onboarding experience.

Employee Experience, Engagement & Culture

  • Champion site engagement and culture initiatives, including talent & development programing, recognition efforts, and engagement survey participation and follow-up.
  • Support local delivery of HR programs and initiatives led by HRBPs (e.g., performance management cycles, change initiatives).
  • Serve as a visible HR presence at the site, building trust and strong working relationships with employees at all levels.

Partnership & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with HR Managers and HRBPs to ensure “one HR voice,” sharing insights, trends, and emerging risks from the site.
  • Provide data, insights, and on-the-ground feedback to HRBPs to inform talent reviews, workforce planning, and business-unit initiatives.
  • Run and analyze standard and ad hoc HRIS reports to support HR leadership and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a site-based or field HR role.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong employee relations and issue-resolution skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a matrixed HR team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HRIS experience required (Workday preferred).
