Bilingual HR & Workforce Coordinator
About the role
The Bilingual HR & Workforce Coordinator serves as a direct connection between Human Resources, branch leadership, and Earthtones' field workforce. This position supports field hiring and HR needs by sourcing and hiring qualified field employees, coordinating onboarding and offboarding, supporting employee communication, and carrying out established HR processes in the field. Working from hiring needs and parameters established by HR and branch leadership, this position actively builds sources of field labor and is authorized to screen, interview, select, and hire candidates for designated field positions within approved skill and compensation guidelines. The Bilingual HR & Workforce Coordinator also maintains a regular presence within field operations, serving as an accessible bilingual resource for employees and a conduit between the field and the HR & Payroll Department.
Responsibilities
- Field Workforce Support & Hiring
- Work with branch leaders and the HR & Payroll Manager to understand field hiring needs, required skills, and approved compensation ranges.
- Actively source qualified field candidates and maintain reliable labor pipelines through workforce resources, community organizations, trade programs, referrals, hiring events, and other local sources.
- Screen, interview, select, and hire candidates for designated field positions within established hiring and compensation parameters.
- Escalate candidates or hiring circumstances that fall outside established parameters for approval.
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements and maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
- Track candidate sources, hiring activity, and challenges filling workforce needs.
- Travel regularly to Earthtones branches and surrounding communities to support field hiring and workforce needs.
- Onboarding & Employee Support
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding for hourly field employees, ensuring required documentation and HRIS information are completed accurately and timely.
- Help field employees navigate company technology, HR systems, benefits, policies, and employment processes.
- Maintain a regular HR presence within field operations and build trusted relationships with employees and managers.
- Serve as an accessible bilingual resource and conduit between field employees, branch leadership, and the HR & Payroll Department.
- Communicate HR programs, policies, benefits, company expectations, and other important information to field employees.
- Escalate employee relations concerns, complaints, investigations, corrective action, and other sensitive matters to the HR & Payroll Manager.
- Field HR & Manager Support
- Support branch leaders in carrying out established HR processes and workforce activities.
- Assist managers with coordinating and documenting performance reviews and EOS People Analyzer conversations.
- Support managers with HR documentation, employee communication, and bilingual assistance as needed.
- Identify recurring workforce concerns, communication gaps, or employee trends and communicate them to the HR & Payroll Manager.
- Escalate performance, policy, corrective action, and employee relations matters requiring HR or management discretion.
- Offboarding
- Coordinate field employee offboarding, including required documentation, company property collection, HRIS notifications, and communication with appropriate departments.
- Partner with branch leadership and the HR & Payroll Coordinator to ensure offboarding steps are completed accurately and timely.
- Gather information regarding field employee turnover and communicate recurring trends or concerns to the HR & Payroll Manager.
- HR Operations
- Maintain accurate employee and candidate information and documentation within HR systems.
- Partner with the HR & Payroll Coordinator to ensure new hires, employee changes, and terminations are processed accurately.
- Follow established HR processes consistently across branches and companies.
- Protect confidential employee and company information.
- Support HR projects, field activities, bilingual communication, and other department initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with field employees, candidates, and managers.
- Comfortable actively sourcing and engaging prospective field employees within the communities Earthtones serves.
- Experience with recruiting, staffing, workforce coordination, HR, onboarding, or operations preferred.
- Experience working with hourly, field, landscaping, construction, trades, or similar workforces preferred.
- Strong technology skills and ability to quickly learn HRIS, payroll, recruiting, and communication systems.
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow established processes, work within defined parameters, and recognize when matters require escalation.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Texas as business needs require.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
