Bilingual Claims Assistant

About the role
We are looking for a highly capable Bilingual Claims Assistant to join our team and work from our Omaha office. Alternatively, this role can be filled in our Chicago, Los Angeles, Richmond, or Albany offices. This is a 100% in-office position requiring five days a week on-site to strengthen our culture, build team connections, and drive profitability. The position reports to a Claims Support Supervisor based in Houston and provides robust clerical support to a nationwide team of Claims Adjusters while delivering exceptional customer service to brokers, claimants, and insureds. Overtime may be assigned as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support to a nationwide team of claims adjusters by entering stop/cancel/release of checks, processing cash receipts, working check exceptions, and completing complex state forms.
- Maintain accurate claims data by inputting data and policy information for new and existing claims.
- Enhance customer experience through extensive communication: answering incoming calls, processing electronic mail, preparing written correspondence, and handling outgoing mail (majority of each workday is spent on the telephone).
- Review each claim for payment, documenting date issued and check number; research financials to verify payment information.
- Review outstanding checks across various claim systems, determine payment status, prepare letters as needed, and document findings in FSITrack.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years’ prior relevant work experience; or vocational/technical education with at least one year of relevant work experience.
- Highly accurate typing with a speed of at least 50 wpm.
- Fluency in reading, speaking, and writing both English and Spanish.
- Exceptional telephone communication skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or industry designations (preferred but not required).
Pay
- Richmond: $26.76 - $30.80 per hour ($55,651 - $64,066 annualized)
- Albany and Chicago: $29.29 - $33.88 per hour ($60,924 - $70,461 annualized)
- Los Angeles: $32.04 - $37.11 per hour ($66,646 - $77,193 annualized)
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
