About the role

Sells new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership, while ensuring customer satisfaction. Spanish/English Bilingual Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Mets dealership sales goals.
  • Greets customer and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
  • Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on demonstration drive.
  • Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase.
  • Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount.
  • Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including but not limited to, preparing sales slip or sales contract.
  • Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicle.
  • Researches availability of models and optional equipment.
  • Engages in business development.
  • Addresses customer concerns.
  • Maintains Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above Company standards.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.

Qualifications

  • Desired Education: GED √ High School Diploma Associate Degree Bachelor Degree Master Degree Doctorate Degree Field Of Study/Work Experience: Accounting √ Automotive Business Human Resources Information Technology
  • Desired Work Experience: up to 3 years 3-5 years 5+ years Education/Experience: Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired.
  • Certificates And Licenses: √ Valid Driver’s License Automobile Salesperson License
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. Environment Demands: Duties are performed throughout the premises, both indoors and outdoors and on customer test drives. Due to the nature of the position, may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a variety of tasks.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations.
