Primary Duties, Responsibilities, And Tasks

  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times, resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Greet guests in a courteous and caring manner using personalized service.
  • Maintain and clean beverage stations and equipment in accordance with Company standards.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Valley View Casino & Hotel’s policies and within the realm of Valley View Casino & Hotel's Mission Statement.
  • Provide and replenish beverage stock and supplies.
  • Stock received supplies, retrieve and deliver liquor, wine and beer to various storage facilities, bars, restaurants and soda room in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Promote outstanding guest service on a continual basis.
  • Participate as a team member with bartenders, servers, supervisors and all other pertinent Company Team Members in ensuring an efficient operation.
  • Inform the Food and Beverage Managers when a guest demonstrates signs of intoxication.
  • Adhere to performance standards, company policies, as they relate to the department.
  • Conduct all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must possess and demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Must possess and demonstrate a willingness to learn and have the ability to follow instructions and direction.
  • Ability to work within a team-centered work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Team Members of organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening test.
  • Must be able to successfully pass applicable auditions or skill testing.

Physical Requirements Of The Position

  • Clear vision (close, distant, peripheral, and depth perception) is needed for navigating office and casino environments, reading and reviewing reports and policies, operating data processing equipment and other essential job functions.
  • The Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The Team Member is regularly required to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel.
  • The Team Member is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The team member must be able to stand for the entire length of the work shift.
  • The Team Member must have the ability to lift 30 pounds above head on a regular basis.
  • The Team Member must frequently lift and/or push and move 50 pounds on a frequent basis, up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Also, must be able to move up to 1500 pounds utilizing a pallet jack or equivalent machinery.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
