Beverage Server - Iberian Lounge

About the role

The Hotel Hershey is a luxury resort known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. Situated atop the town of Hershey, the 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner. This part-time position involves taking beverage orders from patrons.

Responsibilities

• Suggest or describe cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and other beverages.
• Transmit orders to the bartender; receive and place beverage orders on a service tray, adding fruits, garnishes, or decorations as required before serving to guests.
• Total checks and collect payment for beverages; dispense bottled beverages, confections, tobacco, or other requested items.
• Maintain neat and clean work and customer service areas, replace dirty ashtrays, and return emptied glasses.
• Serve hors d'oeuvres, canapés, and snacks at private or catered parties as requested.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and a friendly, courteous attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned by an immediate supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Verifiable work experience as a server.
• Must successfully complete RAMP class.
• Valid driver’s license (a condition of continued employment).

Qualifications

• Must present a neat and orderly appearance.

Schedule

This is a part-time, year-round union position with hours based on business demands and union seniority. The working schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typical shifts are weekdays 5 p.m. to midnight and weekends 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., including holidays. Must be able to stand and work for long periods.
