Beverage Cocktail Server

About the role

The Beverage Cocktail Server is responsible for providing fast, friendly and courteous service to every customer while taking and serving beverage orders. This includes interacting with the public, speaking English clearly, remembering details, and maintaining a neat, clean, and sanitary station.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage orders and serve complimentary beverages to guests, slot and pit areas.
• Present the beverage order to the bartender and write checks properly while waiting for the beverage to be prepared.
• Present check to the guest, accept payment and give change when necessary.
• Maintain the server’s station in a neat, clean and sanitary condition at all times.
• Be knowledgeable of casino promotions and events in order to provide answers to customer questions.
• Inform customers of forthcoming special events and other facilities, such as food service, etc.
• Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.
• Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
• Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
• Attend all necessary meetings.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must have an outgoing, friendly personality and a cheerful accommodating disposition.
• Must adhere to the SGC Shoe policy for all Beverage Cocktail Servers.
• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or its equivalency preferred.
• Two (2) years previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

• Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
• Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the casino.
• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees and members of the business community in all situations.

Benefits

Salary starting rate $10.70, compensation is negotiable based on experience and education. Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
