Beverage Cocktail Server

About the role

The Beverage Cocktail Server is responsible for providing fast, friendly and courteous service to every customer while taking and serving beverage orders. This includes interacting with the public, speaking English clearly, remembering details, and maintaining a neat, clean and sanitary station.

Responsibilities

• Taking beverage orders and serving complimentary beverages to guests, slot and pit areas.
• Presenting the beverage order to the bartender and writing checks properly while waiting for the beverage to be prepared.
• Maintaining the server’s station in a neat, clean and sanitary condition at all times.
• Being knowledgeable of casino promotions and events in order to provide answers to customer questions.
• Informing customers of forthcoming special events and other facilities, such as food service, etc.
• Maintaining a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
• Providing exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicating in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.
• Maintaining a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
• Maintaining attendance guidelines and adhering to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Completing all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
• Attending all necessary meetings.

Requirements

• Outgoing, friendly personality and a cheerful accommodating disposition.
• Must adhere to the SGC Shoe policy for all Beverage Cocktail Servers.
• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or its equivalency preferred.
• Two (2) years previous customer service experience required.
• Two (2) years of serving in a bar or restaurant setting required.
• Bartending experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing routine correspondence and speaking effectively to the public, employees and customers.
• The ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
• The ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees and members of the business community in all situations.

Pay and Benefits

Starting Rate: $10.70
Compensation Is Negotiable Based On Experience And Education.
Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
