Responsibilities
- Helping individuals understand available benefits
- Determining eligibility for public benefits
- Assisting with completing and submitting applications
- Gathering required documentation
- Navigating the enrollment and renewal process
- Supporting MassHealth members age 65 and older through the redetermination process
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in elder services, social services, health care, benefits counseling, or a related field
- Knowledge of public benefits, MassHealth, or health coverage programs preferred
- SHINE and/or Certified Application Counselor (CAC) Experience Preferred
- Strong Communication, organizational, and client support skills
Schedule
Part-time, 20 hours per week.
