About the role
The Benefits Coordinator supports the firm's commitment to providing comprehensive and responsive Total Rewards programs, including health and welfare, retirement, time and absence, and well-being initiatives. Reporting to Senior Benefits Managers and the Director of Total Rewards, this role involves a wide range of administrative and customer service tasks.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily administration of all Total Rewards programs.
- Review staff timecards for accuracy and completeness in preparation for payroll processing.
- Maintain and monitor benefit enrollments and changes, ensuring timely updates and accurate coverage.
- Utilize the firm’s self-service and HR system to generate notices, updates, and reports for relevant departments.
- Prepare and maintain files and records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
- Respond to and help resolve Total Rewards and benefits inquiries, including health and welfare, retirement, time and absence, and well-being questions.
- Assist in coordinating well-being programs and initiatives, including communications, registrations, and participation tracking.
- Afford support to team leadership in administering leave of absence and time away programs.
- Contribute to fostering an environment of superior customer service to all firm personnel.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all firm and employee information.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail when entering and reconciling benefits and Total Rewards data.
- Occasionally work overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience in HR, benefits, or Total Rewards, with minimum three (3) years of related experience in leave administration, work time calculations, and HR systems.
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in all areas of Total Rewards.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workflow, and complete tasks under time constraints.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Foundational knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply a variety of instructions.
- Initiative in learning firm policies, Total Rewards programs, and relevant compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Skills
- Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA, ADA).
- Ability to respond to questions from attorneys, staff, clients, vendors, and the public in a professional manner.
- Ability to interpret and apply a variety of instructions.
- Initiative in learning firm policies, Total Rewards programs, and relevant compliance requirements.

$55,000.00 - $70,000.00
