Benefits Consulting - Senior Manager

Role Overview

This position involves supporting the design and management of complex employee benefit plans, serving as a project manager and client liaison, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role includes analyzing, designing, and benchmarking benefit plans, managing project risks, and leading junior team members' development. For Senior Managers, responsibilities also encompass leading large benefit projects and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in benefit plan analysis, design, cost mitigation, and vendor procurement
• Coordinate work across teams and serve as client's main contact
• Maintain technical expertise and foster team growth
• Manage engagement risks, compliance, billing, and budgeting
• Develop and deepen client relationships; present technical recommendations
• Contribute to market and business activities

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum five years of experience in employer benefit strategies (eight+ years for Senior Managers)
• Bachelor's degree required; professional designations (CPA, EA, JD, MBA, etc.) preferred or to be obtained within one year
• Experience leading multiple large client engagements and managing teams
• Deep industry knowledge across regions, industries, and benefit types
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work at client sites and travel up to 15%
