About the Opportunity

The Benefits Administrator supports the day-to-day management of employee benefits and leave programs. This role ensures smooth operation of benefits processes, maintains accurate records, assists employees with inquiries, and helps maintain compliance with relevant laws and policies. The position contributes to the overall HR function by coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Administer health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, leave, tuition reimbursement, and wellness programs in the US and Canada
  • Cook up with benefits providers, brokers, and third-party administrators
  • Aid in the preparation and execution of annual and special enrollment periods
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including ACA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, and HIPAA
  • Review and improve benefits administration processes for efficiency and employee satisfaction
  • Conduct benefit audits to ensure data integrity and assist in special projects as assigned
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in benefits administration or related HR role
  • Knowledge of benefits administration practices and regulations
  • Familiarity with HRIS and benefits management platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
  • Effective interpersonal and team collaboration skills
  • Adaptability to changing environments

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Hourly pay range of $25.00 to $28.00
