The Opportunity

The Benefits Technology Specialist supports and exceeds client expectations with HUB’s benefits technology solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Configures and maintains HUB preferred Benefits Administration system based on client requirements.
• Tests system functionality to ensure accuracy of client system configuration.
• Ensures all services are implemented according to established project plans and meets quality standards.
• Updates systems as requirements change each plan year or as needed.
• Builds and maintains Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) files as needed.
• Trains clients and internal account service team on the use of the system.
• Presents HUB preferred Benefits Administration system to clients and prospects.
• Maintains thorough understanding of internal systems to respond to client requests.
• Verifies technical reference information and ensures compliance.
• Assists clients with Affordable Care Act Reporting.
• Maintains regular interactions with clients to develop relationships and advise on new products.
• Provides resolution of client issues by researching and responding to questions.
• Stays informed about industry changes and makes recommendations to clients.
• Attends industry-related continuing education training and courses.
• Maintains accurate and organized account files.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Life & Health license preferred.
• Knowledge of employee benefits products and services, related legislation (ACA, COBRA, HIPAA), and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel, Project Management software, and Database software.
• Ability to communicate and present information effectively, problem solve, prioritize tasks, and stay informed about industry changes.
