The Opportunity

The Benefits Technology Specialist supports and exceeds client expectations with HUB’s benefits technology solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Configures and maintains HUB’s Benefits Administration system based on client requirements.
  • Tests system functionality and implements services according to project plans and quality standards.
  • Updates systems as needed, including benefit class matrix, requirements document, rates, permissions, field options, and site text.
  • Builds and maintains EDI files to meet business objectives.
  • Trains clients and internal account service team on system use and provides demonstrations.
  • Presents HUB’s Benefits Administration system to clients and prospects.
  • Maintains client relationships, advises on new products, and resolves client issues.
  • Stays informed on industry changes and makes recommendations to clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Life & Health license preferred.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits products and services, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills, and Project Management software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Primarily stationary position for the majority of the workday.
  • Frequent communication with colleagues and clients.
  • Occasional movement to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
