About the role
The Bell Person is responsible for being the first and last impression for our guests, centered on delivering exceptional service with warmth and enthusiasm, efficiency, and prompt professional attentive guest services within a high-energy casino environment. This role ensures a seamless experience from arrival to departure, assisting guests with their luggage and working closely with Valet and Front Desk.
Responsibilities
- Greet, direct, and assist all guests.
- Carry a radio to respond to calls to deliver, retrieve, and store luggage (rack/closet) for guests.
- Load and unload luggage to/from vehicles.
- Keep accurate records and record numbers neatly while delivering and retrieving luggage for bus groups.
- Manage storage and retrieval of luggage in the luggage room.
- Deliver and retrieve boxes, packages, and envelopes to and from the business center for guests.
- Engage with guests, asking how they are enjoying their stay.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Casino/Hotel experience preferred.
- Experience within an upscale hotel preferred.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
- Requires seldom sitting, kneeling, lifting/carrying of 51-100 lbs; occasional bending, reaching, and crouching.
- Copying and writing of numbers.
- Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity, as well as the ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and currency.
- The work area is subject to variable temperatures.
Pay
$8.63 per hour plus tips.
