About the Location
The all-new, vibrant Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach blends indoor and outdoor luxury to elevate the experience of Oahu resorts. Designed by award-winning firm Rockwell Group, the resort offers a fresh, welcoming, and relaxing atmosphere in the heart of Waikiki. Features include a spacious lobby, a 280,000-gallon Oceanarium unique to Honolulu resorts, and a soon-to-open destination pool deck with private cabanas, a saltwater infinity pool, a shallow-water kids' pool and club, and a pool bar. Responsibilities
- Load and unload luggage carts.
- Organize and deliver luggage for tour groups.
- Escort guests to rooms and familiarize them with hotel services.
- Inspect guest rooms to ensure they are in order and supplies are adequate.
- Explain room features, including operation of electronic devices and entertainment.
- Check, store, and deliver luggage for arrivals and departures using luggage tags.
- Store, track, and deliver packages as needed.
- Deliver messages to meeting rooms.
- Deliver flowers, laundry, packages, and other amenities to guestrooms.
- Assist with room changes.
- Maintain current listings of local attractions, special events, activities, transportation guides, churches, and sports arenas.
- Assist Houseperson with guest requests.
- Ensure the lobby reader board is correct.
- Provide information, maps, and directions as required.
- Answer console to assist front desk agents (where applicable).
- Show guestrooms and suites as needed, emphasizing hotel amenities.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state (if applicable).
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
- Must effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong listening skills to understand and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
