About the role
The Neurologist will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including neurologists, neuropsychologists, rehabilitation specialists, geriatricians, social workers, and palliative care experts. They will have the opportunity to influence care models, participate in research, and educate both colleagues and the community about neurodegenerative diseases.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, treats, and consults patients with impaired memory function or other neurocognitive diseases.
- Examines patient’s mental and physical status, conducts medical tests and scans, and evaluates the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
- Reviews patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
- Provides education, consultation, or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families.
- Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being, considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
- Participates in neuroscience research activities.
- Charts in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope.
- Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
- Responsible for providing care in the outpatient setting.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
- BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
- Fellowship training in Dementia, Geriatric Neurology, Cognitive Neurology, Cognitive-Behavioral Neurology OR strong interest in Dementia required.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
Physical Demands
Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently.
Qualifications

Pay
$338,310 to $375,900 per year
