Behavioral Health Technician Lead (Full Time)

Responsibilities

• Supervises Behavioral Health Technicians and provides performance feedback.
• Orients and trains new staff to the unit and program.
• Aids in interviewing and hiring BHTs.
• Communicates with staff through verbal and written logs.
• Aids in employee disciplinary actions and develops employee schedules.
• Conducts employee performance evaluations.
• Aids in client interventions and item confiscation.
• Listens to clients and BHTs concerning treatment areas.
• Coordinates activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings with Lead BHTs.
• Fulfills treatment plan objectives and maintains a therapeutic environment.
• Evaluates the behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input.
• Aids in attending necessary trainings and scheduling BHTs for training sessions.
• Aids in attending facility meetings and coordinating BHT department meetings.
• Performs clerical duties as needed and other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous clinical experience preferred, especially in behavioral health or healthcare.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to problem-solve by gathering and analyzing information.
• Ability to handle crises or potential risk situations appropriately.
• Working knowledge of federal and state standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to uphold staff code of ethics and maintain therapeutic boundaries.

Pay

Pay: $17/hr before shift differentials.

Schedule

Shift: 2nd shift 3:00pm - 11:00pm
