Behavioral Health Technician (Full Time)
About the role
A direct care position with a primary responsibility of interacting with and supervising clients in treatment. Assists in the clinical and administrative teams to identify and serve client needs.
Shift Options
- 7:00am - 3:00pm - usually includes at least 1 weekend day in the schedule
- 3:00pm - 11:00pm - usually includes at least 1 weekend day in the schedule
- 11:00pm - 7:00am - usually includes at least 1 weekend day in the schedule
Pay
$16.00/hour before shift differentials
Shift Differential Information
- 1st Shift differentials: (Saturday and Sunday) $1.00
- 2nd Shift differentials: (Monday - Friday) $1.00 (Saturday and Sunday) $1.50
- 3rd Shift Differentials: (Monday - Sunday) $2.00
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid with the intake process with new clients into the program.
- Communicate with staff either verbally or in written communication logs, responsible for detailed client logs.
- Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings.
- Mandatory bed checks conducted as required per department, complete bed-check sheet for shift reporting.
- Attend shift change, Team meetings, and Company meetings.
- Assist with interventions with clients.
- Follow objectives of treatment plans.
- Monitor medication line.
- Transport clients to meetings and recreation.
- Responsible for conducting searches of clients when they return back to the facility.
- Train new staff on unit, program, and milieu.
- Help with upkeep of facility.
- Assist clients with obtaining a sponsor.
Licensure, Education, & Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience preferred.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, preferred.
