Behavioral Health Nurse

About the role

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to quality mental health and substance abuse care in a supportive outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement prescriber's treatment plans and coordinate medication services.
• Ensure timely completion of initial nursing assessments per policies and standards.
• Coordinate response to infection control issues and monitor lab results.
• Maintain communication with medical and psychiatric consultants regarding client care.
• Navigate Electronic Health Records (EHR) system effectively.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, and perform duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the relevant state.
• Preferred minimum of three years in a nursing setting.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret clinical information, assess, evaluate, and teach.
• Knowledge of medication policies, infection control, and somatic issues.
• Ability to work under supervision and adhere to licensing and agency policies.
