Behavioral Health Clinician II
About the role
This position provides behavioral health treatment to the patients of the practices in collaboration with the medical providers to ensure care is integrated which enhances the patient experience. The practices value the partnership with behavioral health clinicians and work collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes. Being integrated into a practice reduces stigma for patients, increasing their willingness to participate in care.
Key responsibilities
- Providing screening, assessments, and focused brief treatment to patients of the practices
- Treatment structure includes individual, family, and group work
- Providing curbside consultation to providers
- Linking patients to additional services and supports
- Participating in population health activities that targets the health and wellbeing of specific groups of people
Work environment & support
This is a 20-hour position, located within MaineHealth Waldo Hospital's Physical & Integrative Medicine at 37 Mortland Road in Searsport as well as the Belfast Weight Management Program at 119 Northport Avenue in Belfast. Your work is enhanced by being part of a larger team with solid experience in integrated work. Collaborative work with psychiatrists and other integrated clinicians in the MaineHealth system adds to the experience. Individual supervision, group supervision, psychiatry consultation, and quarterly trainings are benefits of this position.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field
- Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required
- At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician
- Persons interested in this position must be comfortable working with all patients of the practice, as well as providing treatment to families
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of and interest in treating substance use disorders is preferred
Schedule
~ 20 Hours/week, Monday – Friday, Day shift
Pay & benefits
- Sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for eligible full or part time Behavioral Health Clinicians (per diem hires are ineligible; current or former MaineHealth members ineligible until greater than 3 months separation)
- Pay range: $71,448.00 to $96,636.80 per year (part-time positions prorated based on scheduled hours)
