The role of Behavioral Health Clinician II, working under an independent license, involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
Responsibilities
The Behavioral Health Clinician II is responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' behavioral health needs.
- Developing and implementing individual, group, and family therapy treatment plans.
- Providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Maintaining client records and documentation according to regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include:
- A Master’s degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field.
- A current license/certification as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine.
- At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and clinical interventions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.
- Experience in crisis intervention and emergency response.
- Clinical experience in areas such as substance abuse, trauma, grief, and loss.
- Experience in community outreach and engagement.
- Experience in managing complex cases and high-risk populations.

Pay
The base range for this position is $71,448.00 to $96,636.80 per year. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
Schedule
