About the role
We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Counselor to provide psychiatric risk assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and support to patients and families in emergency and psychiatric settings. This role involves serving as a licensed professional on the clinical team, conducting assessments, and implementing treatment strategies to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric risk assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Deliver crisis intervention and support to patients and families
- Serve as a licensed professional on the clinical team
- Conduct assessments and implement treatment strategies
- Ensure patient safety and well-being in emergency and psychiatric settings
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social services or a related field, or a Ph.D. in psychology or similar
- Licensure as an Alaska social worker, psychologist, marriage and family therapist, or professional counselor upon hire
- Minimum of three years of clinical mental health experience
