We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Counselor with a master's degree in social services or a related field to join an emergency/acute care clinical team. The role involves providing psychiatric risk assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and supporting patients and families in Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments. Qualifications include: Master's Degree or Ph.D. in social services, psychology, or related fieldAlaska licensure (e.g., Social Worker, Psychologist, Therapist, Counselor) upon hireNational Provider BLS certification within 30 daysAt least 3 years of clinical mental health experience Key duties: Conduct psychiatric risk assessments and diagnosisDevelop and implement treatment plansProvide crisis intervention and support to patients and familiesCollaborate with emergency care teams to ensure patient safety and care continuity Skills and attributes: Licensed mental health professional with relevant clinical experienceStrong assessment, diagnostic, and crisis intervention skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environmentExcellent communication and teamwork abilities Join a patient-focused organization committed to whole-person care, diversity, and community service.
