About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Counselor to join an emergency/acute care clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric risk assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Implement crisis interventions for patients and families in Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments
- Serve as a licensed professional with relevant clinical experience
- Maintain necessary licensure and certifications, including BLS within 30 days of hire
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, or a Ph.D.
- Alaska clinical licensure (e.g., Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Counselor)
- At least 3 years of clinical mental health experience
Skills
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-centered, whole-person care in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
Full-time role with variable shifts.
Pay
