About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mental Health Counselor to join an emergency/acute care clinical team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric risk assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Implement crisis interventions for patients and families in Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments
  • Serve as a licensed professional with relevant clinical experience
  • Maintain necessary licensure and certifications, including BLS within 30 days of hire

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, or a Ph.D.
  • Alaska clinical licensure (e.g., Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Counselor)
  • At least 3 years of clinical mental health experience

Skills

  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to patient-centered, whole-person care in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

Full-time role with variable shifts.

Pay
