About the role

The Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center (JTCMHC) is currently recruiting for a Behavioral Health Case Manager to join our Mobile Response and Urgent Recovery Center teams. This position will be instrumental in assisting individuals of all ages who are experiencing a crisis and in need of support as they regain control of their lives and recovery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Crisis Intervention: Work with individuals in crisis to provide immediate support, helping them regain stability and begin the recovery process.
  • Case Management: Perform a wide range of tasks related to case management, including assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up support.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and community resources to ensure clients have access to comprehensive care and services.
  • Support and Guidance: Assist individuals of all ages in navigating their mental health and recovery journey, helping them achieve their personal recovery goals.
  • Professionalism and Ethics: Maintain a high level of professionalism, adhering to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and staff.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals in crisis.
  • Experience in behavioral health or a related field, with knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
  • Case management experience is preferred, but not required.
  • A strong commitment to providing compassionate care and maintaining ethical standards in a professional environment.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • A high school degree or equivalent, from a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education, and a total of 6 months of direct, documented experience working with persons who live with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
  • Experience in behavioral health or a related field.
  • Case management experience (preferred).

Pay

$45,000.00 / $ 21.63 per hr

Schedule

Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result. THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
