About the role
We are seeking a Direct Support Provider to assist children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services for individuals with behavioral challenges
- Support daily activities related to self-help, communication, social, cognitive, and motor skills
- Provide crisis intervention
- Assist with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, feeding, dressing, and ambulation
- Implement and track data on behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred
- At least one year working with individuals with special needs and challenging behaviors
- College coursework in psychology, education, social work, or related fields preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
