About the Role
A Behavior Technician provides one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism and special needs under BCBA supervision.
Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based ABA techniques according to individualized treatment plans.
- Teach and reinforce social, communication, and behavioral skills in a structured environment.
- Build positive therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
- Conduct assessments, collect data, and monitor progress to ensure effective outcomes.
- Collaborate with BCBAs and interdisciplinary team members to review and adjust treatment plans.
- Communicate progress and strategies to parents/caregivers, promoting skill generalization.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress notes.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance ABA therapy skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Passion for working with children on the autism spectrum and special needs.
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to adapt to individual client needs and implement appropriate strategies.
- Openness to feedback and professional growth.
Schedule
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
