Behavior Specialist/BCBA (100-Day Contract)

Requirements

• Must meet all health, physical and background check requirements.
• PREFER a current Tennessee Teaching Certificate in at least one area of Special Education and/or have Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credentials.
• Have successful teaching or other relevant experience addressing behavior for students with disabilities.
• Possess a broad knowledge of and ability to apply all Special Education Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining to interventions, programs and placement of eligible students with autism and/or moderate to severe behavioral and/or emotional problems.
• Strong Interpersonal skills—ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of people (i.e., students, school administrators, teachers, other professionals in the school and community, support staff, parents, etc.)
• Able to take direction; work both on a team and independently.
• Able to organize multiple priorities and work on a flexible schedule.
• Possess sufficient computer and word processing skills necessary to maintain records and complete required documents and other paperwork related to the position.
