Beauty Counter Manager - HOURGLASS - Broadway Plaza

About the role

The Nordstrom Beauty Department seeks individuals passionate about customer service and beauty trends. As a Beauty Counter Manager, you will create personalized beauty experiences, collaborate with the team to foster an inclusive environment, and drive sales through both in-store and digital means.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product recommendations based on customer needs
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and inclusive store environment
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools
• Manage vendor events and promotions, building strong relationships to boost business results
• Keep the department ready for customers through organization and cleanliness
• Stay updated on the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through provided training
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and encourage new Nordstrom Rewards account openings

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, handle concerns, and foster a positive team environment
• Empathy and respect for all customers, ensuring a supportive makeup and skincare application process
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and follow-through skills
• Drive to achieve sales goals, interested in networking and technology
• Able to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative

Qualifications

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

The pay range for this role is $28.50 - $29.65 hourly, with commissions varying based on the merchandise sold. Nordstrom also offers a variety of benefits, including:
