Job Summary

Certified Languages International (CLI) seeks telephonic interpreters to support their high-volume client base. Positions are freelance, work-from-home roles with flexible scheduling.

About the Role

Interpreting services are primarily for medical purposes but also cover insurance, financial, utility, customer service, and state court sectors. Work is available 24/7 through an online portal or landline.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional interpreting services over the phone for LEP individuals.
• Interpret in rare dialects or languages not listed on CLI's job board.
• Work flexible hours to accommodate 24/7 client needs.
• Log on/off using CLI's online portal or landline.

Requirements

• Legal to work in the United States with SSN or EIN and photo ID.
• Reside in the United States.
• Experience in interpreting preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Fluency in a rare dialect or language not listed on CLI's job board.
• Proficiency in English and the target language.
• Excellent communication skills.

Pay

Payment is on a per-minute basis, with interpreters paid for every minute spent on the phone interpreting. Payments are issued twice monthly via direct deposit.
