About the role
For Hank's Sake brings horses and children together through four themed learning stalls, each anchored by a real horse whose life story teaches a character value. Children learn the horsey handshake and discover the life stories of the horses.
Responsibilities
- Meet and greet children and families at the learning stalls.
- Facilitate equine-assisted reading experiences.
- Provide literacy kits to children.
- Ensure safety and comfort for all participants.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Pass a background check.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable around horses.
Skills
- Patience and empathy.
- Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly.
- Basic computer skills (for online scheduling).
