About the role
The Bariatric Receptionist & Scheduler (BRS) will serve as the front office representative, greeting and fulfilling process requirements during office appointments. The BRS will promote an image of professionalism in all areas of representation and will function in a courteous and efficient manner. Excellent customer service skills both via phone and in person are pertinent and must be maintained, as well as sensitivity to the unique needs of the bariatric patient population.
Responsibilities
- Personal handling of incoming calls when possible, or directing them to the relevant staff member in a timely manner.
- Determining the priority level of each call and acting accordingly.
- Maintaining patient and provider appointment schedules in electronic medical record keeping and working closely with Marshall Health to ensure all required patient data is maintained and up-to-date for billing and medical records compliance.
- Assuming additional duties as necessary to enhance the bariatric program.

- Proficiency in developing organizational systems and managing responsibilities independently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a receptionist/scheduler role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend availability as needed.
