The Okoboji Store Bar and Kitchen provides a fast-paced, energetic work environment located right on East and West Lake Okoboji. We can give you the opportunity to gain vital work experience at the busiest summer tourist location in the tristate area! We are looking for employees who are outgoing, possess strong work ethic, and who can provide professional, top-notch service. The Bar Manager at The Okoboji Store holds a pivotal role in driving exceptional bar operations and ensuring an unforgettable experience for our valued patrons. Duties may include overseeing staff, monitoring inventory, and ensuring quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a positive reputation in the community by promoting our establishment and building strong relationships with customers.
• Address customer concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring a consistently outstanding guest experience.
• Maintain optimal beverage inventory levels to maximize bar output while ensuring profit control.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and grounds upkeep to provide a clean and appealing atmosphere.
• Train bar staff to our establishment's high standards, covering bartending skills, equipment maintenance, hygiene, safety, and mixology.
• Supervise bar staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to standards, accurate cocktail preparation, and outstanding customer service.
• Manage bartender tills, investigating any discrepancies and ensuring accurate accounting.
• Continuously innovate and curate a creative drink menu that complements our establishment's ambiance and food menu.

Requirements

• Previous experience in restaurants or bars (preferred)
• Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to effectively communicate
• Thrives in a dynamic, high-pressure environment and collaborates well within a team
• Projects professionalism and a friendly demeanor consistently
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
