Banquet Houseperson (Part Time & Full Time) - Embassy Suites Denver Downtown

About the role

The Banquet Set Up/House person position at Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown is responsible for setting, maintaining, and refreshing hotel banquet meeting rooms according to sales contracts and company standards. This role ensures cleanliness and organization in a timely manner and assists the supervisor during large functions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all banquet and meeting rooms are properly set in a timely manner, allowing banquet service staff to prepare for functions.
• Timely and safe breakdown of meeting rooms after event completion.
• Refresh rooms on time, ensuring water is available, rooms are cleaned, and they are set appropriately for functions.

Requirements

• No formal education needed.
• Prior housekeeping experience desirable.
• Minimal literacy necessary; can utilize alternate training tools.

Physical Demands

• Ability to communicate with guests, other associates, and supervisor.
• Ability to assess and meet standards.
• Ability to meet standards of appearance.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Continuous standing - continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for position.
• Climbing stairs - approximately 40 steps 15% of 40 hour week.
• No driving required.
• Inside environment 80% of 8 hours.
