Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast, breads and dessert needs for patient meals, café menu and catered functions.
- Plan, prepare and execute approved catering functions.
- Work closely with chefs, kitchen personnel and managers to properly execute events.
- Check with the Education Department to verify dates and locations of meetings and special functions.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and submit grocery requests and invoices as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Professional baker’s training and/or Culinary Arts training preferred.
- Minimum of two years baking and/or catering experience in a hospitality setting preferred.
- Obtain Food Handler’s Permit within 30 days of hire and maintain current Food Handler’s Permit for duration of employment.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
Pay
Pay range: $22.23 - $32.87 per hour. Union: SEIU 1199-Service and Dietary. Shift differentials: Evening $3.00/hour, Night $5.00/hour, Weekend $4.50/hour. Premiums: Per Diem 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits), Lead $3.25/hour, On‑Call $3.00/hour, Preceptor $1.50/hour, Trainer $1.50/hour.
