Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure server-side applications. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, experience with APIs and databases, and the ability to work closely with frontend developers and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and services.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend systems.
• Develop efficient and scalable database structures and queries.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Implement authentication, authorization, security, and data protection.
• Troubleshoot bugs, optimize application performance, and improve system reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decisions.
• Monitor and improve application performance and scalability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• Strong knowledge of one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, C#, PHP, or Go.
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis is a plus.
• Knowledge of Git and version control.
• Understanding of authentication methods such as JWT and OAuth.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
• Good understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Understanding of application security and performance optimization.
