Role Overview

As a Backend Engineer at RacoAI, you will design, build, and maintain the backend infrastructure that powers our AI products. You'll work closely with product, AI, and engineering teams to develop scalable APIs, distributed systems, cloud-native services, and data-intensive applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and migrations.
• Build scalable REST APIs and backend services using Python.
• Develop asynchronous processing systems using queues and background workers.
• Integrate payment gateways, email services, and third-party APIs.
• Implement real-time communication using WebSockets, WebRTC, and Webhooks.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and cloud deployments.
• Monitor, optimize, and maintain production systems and server infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Solid foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Professional experience with Python backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Django REST Framework and/or FastAPI.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, schema design, and query optimization.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming and concurrent processing.
• Experience with WebSockets, WebRTC, Socket.IO, or Webhooks.
• Experience integrating payment gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, bKash, Rocket, Nagad, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker and modern deployment workflows.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and production system operations.
• Experience using Git in collaborative development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, or microservice architectures.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, or data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps and cloud-native development practices.
