BACKEND DEVELOPER

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance backend features for the MYPOSTER platform, taking full ownership of your projects from conception to go-live, including the use of AI agents tailored to our codebase
• Build smart APIs and services that seamlessly connect our shop, logistics, and production systems, and proactively share your knowledge with the team
• Automate repetitive tasks using AI—from code reviews and testing to documentation—to streamline your workflows and focus on what matters most
• Continuously optimize our architecture, make swift decisions on new technologies, and drive bold initiatives for our tech stack
• Maintain system stability through clean code and automated tests, especially for AI-generated components, and consistently challenge the status quo
• Test new models, agents, and tools firsthand, introduce them to the team, and accelerate our development processes

Our stack includes: Symfony Framework, Doctrine, PHP8, Composer, RabbitMQ, Redis, TypeScript, Go. Tools: k6, DevSpace, Captain Hook. Testing: PHPUnit, Codeception. Hosting: Kubernetes on AWS. Logging and monitoring: Datadadog. CI/CD: GitHub. Documentation: Confluence. Ticketing: Jira.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or equivalent education, with at least two years of backend development experience in PHP, TypeScript, or Go
• Expertise in design patterns, relational databases, and modern web architectures, with a passion for diving deep into complex projects
• High standards for quality, critical thinking, and a refusal to settle for mediocrity
• Direct and honest communication style, appreciation for feedback, and a collaborative team mindset without ego
• Enthusiasm for self-driven growth, eagerness to experiment with new AI approaches, and the ability to maintain drive under pressure
• Fluent German (minimum B2 level)
