About the role
Amazon Web Services is seeking an Account Executive to increase adoption of AWS by developing strategic accounts in the US Banking industry. Key job responsibilities
- Team with all aspects of the customer's organization including C-level executives, engineering, IT/operations, partner org, and sales
- Build relationships across accounts using creative systems thinking, visioning, and executing via collaboration with an extended team to address all Financial Services customer needs
- Sell at the most strategic (C-level) level within the account and implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation
- Collaborate with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Partner, Support, Solution Architect) to support customer interests
- Advocate strongly for the customer in harmony with AWS business needs
- Drive new service adoption and new line of business development
- Provide dotted line responsibility for partnership and technical collaboration

Qualifications
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
- Experience engaging with and influencing C-level executives
- 5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers in a quota-carrying role
- Experience developing and executing against an account/territory plan
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience selling cloud solutions
- Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record
- Knowledge of the Financial Services industry, including regulatory landscape, digital transformation trends, and key technology challenges
- Familiarity with AWS services and the broader cloud computing ecosystem
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers (CEO, CFO, CIO)
- AWS Certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect)
Pay
Base salary range is listed below. Total compensation package includes sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
