About the role
This position provides transformational leadership and directs the contract team to manage the portfolio for all service lines, including sourcing, contracting, and value analysis. The role is responsible for assisting the VP of Supply Chain in developing sourcing and contracting savings and efficiency strategies, then executing these strategies through collaboration with key stakeholders such as business leaders, physicians, and clinicians. This position also co-leads service line value analysis meetings and projects for cost savings opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Leads and directs the sourcing, value analysis, and contracting teams and processes for supplies, equipment, and services across the enterprise.
- Develops and oversees the Supplier Relationship Program to create effective and industry-leading partnerships with Tier 1 suppliers.
- Collaborates with stakeholders, including key executives, clinical leaders, and physicians, to transform sourcing and contracting into a highly effective program.
- Directs contract compliance and auditing programs to ensure purchases align with contract pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Develops and chairs system-wide task forces to drive organizational change, standardization, and implementation of system-wide agreements.
- Oversees staffing, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and development to align with the organization’s mission and values.
- Ensures compliance with policies and financial stewardship, including accountability for the department budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Leadership, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).
- 10 years of experience in Supply Chain (required).
- 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Leadership (required).
- 5 years of experience in Healthcare Supply Chain (preferred).
Qualifications
- Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) certification (preferred).
