About the role
The Assistant Vice President - Strategic Sourcing, Contracting, Value Analysis and Supply Chain Information Systems (SCIS) is responsible for owning and optimizing the LifeBridge Health spend categories via extensive cross-functional collaboration and mastery of all total cost of ownership (TCO)/strategic sourcing best practices. Strategic initiatives incorporate system-wide vision, build shared commitment for desired future state, and achieve effective value proposition of the Supply Chain organization. Assists the VP/Chief Supply Chain with alignment of the enterprise in a fiduciary manner to ensure and maintain supply chain continuity and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Ownership and accountability for actions of self and team(s).
- Review monthly budget to align with the overall yearly budget; discuss the monthly budget with direct reports of mid-management level.
- Provide and maintain a monthly survey of services to random departments to gauge end-user satisfaction through the MMIS requisition center for orders, PO acquisition, and follow-up.
- Demonstrate ability to take responsibility and ownership for the outcome of all actions and decisions with emphasis on customer satisfaction and fiscal performance.
- Effectively and efficiently manage all human, fiscal, and material resources.
- Develop and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, continually striving to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Lead, coach, mentor, develop, and guide associates and clinical staff to improve themselves and LifeBridge Health.
- Understand the current healthcare environment, envision strategic organizational goals, align resources to achieve those goals, and inspire others to attain them.
- Provide clear objectives, performance-specific feedback, effective communication, coaching, and developmental opportunities.
- Establish effective relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders, working toward shared goals through cooperation and collaboration.
- Align with clinical staff within OR, EC, Nursing, SPD, PeriOp, and physician offices.
- Present ideas and information concisely and effectively through written and oral communication, demonstrating strong speaking and listening skills.
- Lead by example, fostering an environment of coaching, development, communication, feedback, and support to enhance associates' skills and experiences.
- Ensure responsible financial performance of the department and organization, identifying areas of improvement through cost savings or efficiency gains via process improvement.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospital strategic sourcing and contracting.
- Seasoned professional knowledge equivalent to a master's degree; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
