About the role
This position is available for second shift work, Monday through Thursday, from 3pm to 1am. The shift includes a 10% to 15% premium, paid lunch, three-day weekends, and formal airframe training. After three years, eligible to transfer to first shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
- Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft when designated.
- Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components when designated.
- Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling to support operations.
- Work with customers in project management, pricing, and customer support roles.
- Work independently on projects.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
- A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics, or electrical field.
- Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
- Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
- Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems.
Skills
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under specific deadlines and time constraints.
- Effective communication skills (speaking, writing, reading).
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
- Troubleshooting, evaluating, and performing functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
- Professional demeanor when working with others.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $22 - $35. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
