Responsibilities
- Removal and installation of panels, components and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations.
- Stamp, bundle and install connectors on wiring.
- Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
- Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft when designated.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stack when required
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
- Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
- Work within a team process
- Work independently on projects when required.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- Your Education: A High school diploma or equivalent. Electronics or Avionics training is preferred. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
- Your Experience: Tech I - 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics or electrical field. Tech II - 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field. Tech III - 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field. Master Technician - 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems.
- Your Initiative: We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
- Your Sense of Responsibility: Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments. Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work. Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day. Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines. Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties. Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Qualifications
- Lifts 50 lbs.
- Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.
- Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Climb ladders and stairs, work in small, restricted areas
Skills
- Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
- Follow wiring diagrams, route and terminate wires at proper locations.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
- Work with others in a professional manner.
